And any of the attention they give is usually game-breaking in the form of either over-nerfed or overpowered. It's saddening, and what's worse is that Anet always seems to acknowledge their mistakes months or years later, y' know... when it's already too late..?

Oh my god, the whiners about the Dervish update...are you guys incapable of reading anything? It's been said that the Dervish update is going to come after HotN is done, and before Embark Beach. Embark Beach is currently scheduled for sometime early next year. It's soon, but it's still a bit of a wait.
I want the Dervish update as much as anyone else does - my main is a Dervish, FFS - but there's really no need to whine about it in every single update thread that does not include any Dervish changes.

Why they keep nerinf patient spirit.... just what they want us to do anyway? move back to WoH/RoF build? yes, this is a RAGE from a monk player.
I'm happy to see draw conditions nerf. It's been a huge problem at RA for long. Good thing now that its balanced with foul feast.
/sadface @ new Weapon of Shadow.
I'm happy with buffed healing burst, looks pretty good now. New invoke lightning seems pretty good also, maybe we'll se airspikers again?

Ok, now they're taking a short break to focus on the Dervish update.

Silly to say that it recharges in half that time if Disease has been removed. Is 2 seconds that big of a difference?

Yes, it is a big difference .

Let's be fair, they've said they are working on more than just balancing numbers for Dervishes, so it really sounds from the developer post yesterday like they are in the final stretch--now they are to the "balancing numbers" point, which means they've mostly completed whatever other changes they were working on.

I don't doubt there has been a lot of ongoing work on the dervish changes, especially with KarateJesus' comments on the Test Krew leaks. I just think the developer post is lacking in a little tact in addressing the shift in focus.
If they were just in the stages of final design data tuning I'd guess that we'd see the patch at January in the earliest. Even if they finished work this week and did a milestone freeze and fix for the patch I doubt they'd put out a balance patch right before the holiday season. Also, I expect that we will see the Hearts of the North content before the dervish update although I imagine there is some possibility of those coming out at the same time (scary amounts of work).

I am liking the new healing burst.

'm loving the switch for Andogoron's Gaze. Now I can use it without the need for loads of points in Blood which would go to waste for 1 skill YAY

From a PvE point of view, this skill balance changed absolutely nothing.

I know, doesn't change the fact that I am right, ah well lame joke
On a more serious note, I'm not hating the Patient Spirit nerf.
Imo it makes sense that you don't get the healing when the enchantment is removed prematurely. I also like the ele buff.

people keep talking about patient spirit as if it was a nerf. it wasn't. they fixed a bug where even if patient was stripped before the delayed heal happened, you still got healed. If you want to call it anything, call it fixed.
